This unit creates electrical power by utilizing a magnetized armature and outer copper windings which are connected to the battery using brushes. While in operation (engine running) this unit supplies electrical power for the vehicle while charging the battery at the same time.

While OEM and aftermarket wiring manufacturers alike combine multiple devices on single circuits, they take various things like current draw, wire gauge, and fuse capacity into consideration. For example, adding accessories to an existing circuit may require a greater-capacity fuse, which may cause problems if that fuse’s capacity exceeds the capacity of any single wire in that circuit. Should a wire find ground or its accessory fail in such a case, the wire may catch fire without ever blowing its circuit’s fuse.

An electronic throttle control actuator is responsible for metering air flow into the engine which controls engine speed. A throttle control sensor located near the foot pedal supplies feedback data to the computer which activates the actuator. The throttle control system is integrated into the ABS, cruise control and traction control systems. In older vehicles throttle action was performed by a manually controlled throttle cable which is actuated by the driver's right foot.

Just strip away about half an inch from the end of the power wire, and then insert the bare wire into the butt connector on the fuse tap lead. Use the crimp connector to secure the power wire to the lead, and then plug the fuse tap into an available slot in the fuse panel. If performing the job in an older car, first strip about half an inch from the end of the power wire. Then use the Phillips screwdriver to secure the bare wire to an unused terminal on the fuse box. Insert an appropriately rated fuse into the slot on the head of the fuse tap plug, or the fuse box itself in classic vehicles and you're done. Just reconnect the negative battery cable, turn on the ignition and fire up the radio. If you have already connected the radio to your car speakers, it should be able to play music immediately.

If the fuse is good and the relay is working correctly then you’ll need to get out a voltmeter and find out where you’re the interuption is in the circuit. You will need an electrical diagram that shows where the electrical connectors are that have wiring for your part.

With the little map in the cover and the diagram of the owner's manual, you will have a clear guide on where to plug the wires. To help you out, most wires are color coded, thus giving you more information in how to locate each wire and follow the lead. If the wires are not colored, you must do it the old fashion way. Here is where the tester comes in handy. You will have to test every fuse and wire to make sure of the right numbers, thus giving you the correct lead.

Since electrons flow along the surface of a conductor and not through the conductor, a conductor of equivalent size with more and finer strands can carry more current.

Insert the DIN tools into the holes on either side of the unit until you hear a click. The tools serve to release the spring clips and also hook onto the sides of the stereo so that you can pull it out easily. Spread the tools apart slightly then pull the stereo out of the dash.

By Hadrien Gratien. Engine Wiring. Published at Friday, January 12th 2018, 10:04:02 AM. Cars typically have one intake valve and one outtake valve per cylinder. Most high-performing cars (Jaguars, Maseratis, etc.) have four valves per cylinder (two intake, two outtake). While not considered a “high performance” brand, Honda also uses four valves per cylinder on their vehicles. There are even engines with three valves per cylinder — two inlet valves, one outtake valve. Multi-valve systems allow the car to “breathe” better, which in turn improves engine performance.
