Part of the pin wraps around the bare wire, while another part clamps onto the insulation. This makes it harder to pull the wire away from the pin.

The automotive battery is designed as an electrical storage device and is responsible for delivering electrical power when the engine is not in operation. All batteries possess a negative (ground) and positive (power) attribute of an electrical power system. These connections should be free of corrosion and rust as contaminates hinder the proper operation of electrical circuits. A periodic inspection and test of the battery is necessary to avoid roadside failures. Battery terminals can develop corrosion due to the flow of ions. Terminal and cable cleaning is necessary to remedy this condition.
By . Car Radio Wiring. Published at Friday, January 12th 2018, 22:50:45 PM. Some vehicle manufacturers mount the factory radio to a guide rail inside the dash. Once the spring clips or bolts are removed, you can slide the radio off of the rail. Because this rail can sometimes interfere with the chassis of a new radio, it may have to be removed too. Something to keep in mind: once this is done, you often cannot reinstall the factory radio.

Before you begin, start by setting the parking brake and removing the negative cable from the car battery to prevent accidentally short circuiting something. Your factory stereo will most often be mounted in one of the following ways: – secured in a metal mounting sleeve by spring clips – bolted to the dash with brackets – mounted to a rail system inside the dash

To deliver and monitor electrical power to various devices and sensors while under control of the computer system or a passenger inside the car.

It has a lower melting point than the wire itself. The size of the conductor is calibrated very carefully so that when the rated current is reached, enough heat is generated to melt the conductor and so break the circuit.

The car fuse box is near the battery most of the time. Unplug the safe box by unclipping it. Depress the locking tab and pull it out. Remove the cover of the fuse box. In the cover, you can see a diagram with all the fuse positions. Here is where you need your owner’s manual to find the exact electrical diagrams needed to put the wires in the right place.
By Josselin Amaury. Fuse Box Wiring. Published at Friday, January 12th 2018, 16:32:47 PM. Once you run the wire from the radio to the fuse box area, you're almost done. Just strip away about half an inch from the end of the power wire, and then insert the bare wire into the butt connector on the fuse tap lead. Use the crimp connector to secure the power wire to the lead, and then plug the fuse tap into an available slot in the fuse panel. If performing the job in an older car, first strip about half an inch from the end of the power wire. Then use the Phillips screwdriver to secure the bare wire to an unused terminal on the fuse box. Insert an appropriately rated fuse into the slot on the head of the fuse tap plug, or the fuse box itself in classic vehicles and you're done. Just reconnect the negative battery cable, turn on the ignition and fire up the radio. If you have already connected the radio to your car speakers, it should be able to play music immediately.
