By Hadrien Gratien. Car Electrical Wiring. Publised at Monday, January 08th 2018, 12:47:34 PM. Only electricity really isn’t magic. Like most seemingly complicated things, automotive electrical systems are collections of very simple assemblies. And lucky for us, there’s no secret as to how these things work. It boils down to basic technique. Do a few things right and you’re assured many trouble-free years of service.

While they don't directly help with car stereo installations, the speaker wiring harnesses we offer let you use the factory speaker wires for your new speakers, just like car stereo harnesses. Their plugs match the factory speaker wiring plugs in the vehicle, and the other ends slide over the new speakers' terminals.

When it sparks, it ignites the compressed fuel and air, causing the mini-explosion that pushes the piston down. So now that we know all the basic parts of the engine, let’s take a look at the movement that actually makes our car move: the four-stroke cycle.
By Lazare Anthelme. Fuse Box Wiring. Published at Sunday, January 07th 2018, 17:27:01 PM. In many cases, it's useful for you to know how to wire a car fuse box, especially when adding new electrical components to your vehicle. There are 2 main fuse box locations in a car, 1 is plate near the steering wheel; the other is placed under the hood. This is where we’re going to work. The types of wiring in general, are endless because of the different makes of cars having unique wiring systems. This article will only cover what should be the basics for every type of fuse box.

Along the crankshaft you’ll find balancing lobes that act as counterweights to balance the crankshaft and prevent engine damage from the wobbling that occurs when the crankshaft spins. Also along the crankshaft you’ll find the main bearings. The main bearings provide a smooth surface between the crankshaft and engine block for the crankshaft to spin.

Alternators are actually small generators capable of turning mechanical into electrical energy. Driven by the engine belt, alternators use a small signal from the battery to energize a field current that turns a rotor inside a set of stators. Since this energy is driven by the polarity of magnetic fields, the current produced as a result changes direction as the rotor turns, producing current in opposite or alternating directions (hence AC). Alternators produce significantly higher currents than initially supplied by the battery, so they are used to recharge the battery itself and power other electrical components.
By Gabin Placide. Car Electrical Wiring. Published at Sunday, January 07th 2018, 13:44:16 PM. The most common problems with electrical systems are a short or open circuit. A short circuit is what happens when a wire has rubbed through to ground causing a fuse to blow. An open circuit is what happens when a connection stops working because of a broken wire or a bad conductivity. Low battery voltage can cause strange problems to the electrical components of the car due to insufficient operating voltage. Because of the construction of wiring connectors they can sometimes create high resistance which causes heat making the connector have an open circuit. When performing wiring repairs a wiring schematic is sometimes necessary to trace wires or locate a component.
