If your vehicle has (or once had) a factory stereo, or if it was pre-wired with a "stereo prep" package, there should be at least one plastic wiring harness behind the stereo opening. This plug connects the stereo to your vehicle's electrical system and the speakers. You will need to unplug the factory stereo from the wiring harnesses, and unplug the antenna to complete the removal process.

The solution is a set of diodes that serve as a kind of electrical check valve for current coming out of the alternator. Diodes only allow current to flow in one direction, so when AC goes in on one side, only DC comes out on the other.

Take your drawings to a copier that enlarges and blow them up to easily-readable size. Tape all the sheets together into one big drawing an you will find that tracing electrical paths becomes very straightforward.

These metal parts acts as a conductive connector for positive battery power completing the electrical circuit.

Relays are extremely useful for handling high-amperage electrical accessories like large electric fans, fuel pumps, and HID headlights. They are activated by an electric coil and controlled by a switch. When the relay is closed, no power goes to the accessory in question. When you flip the accessory switch, an electric coil in the relay opens, sending power to the accessory.
By Josselin Amaury. Engine Wiring. Published at Monday, March 12th 2018, 07:06:16 AM. The engine harness is typically a large bundle of individual wires protected by a shell of insulation and conduit which helps to protect it from the elements. It is often asymmetrical, with the large end close to the fuse box and becoming smaller as it branches out over the engine. Since the various automobile manufacturers have different engine designs which also change over time, engine wiring harnesses are often unique to the year, make and model of a vehicle. Because of its proximity to the engine as well as contaminants on the road, engine wiring harnesses can degrade and require repair or replacement.

Alternators are actually small generators capable of turning mechanical into electrical energy. Driven by the engine belt, alternators use a small signal from the battery to energize a field current that turns a rotor inside a set of stators. Since this energy is driven by the polarity of magnetic fields, the current produced as a result changes direction as the rotor turns, producing current in opposite or alternating directions (hence AC). Alternators produce significantly higher currents than initially supplied by the battery, so they are used to recharge the battery itself and power other electrical components.
