The solution is a set of diodes that serve as a kind of electrical check valve for current coming out of the alternator. Diodes only allow current to flow in one direction, so when AC goes in on one side, only DC comes out on the other.

The electrical system is a complex but essential part of what keeps your car starting, running, charging and doing the little, but important, things like locking the doors. And while voltage in automotive systems is much lower than say, household applications, it’s still important to enlist the guidance of a professional when making a diagnosis or beginning repairs because many components are extremely sensitive and can be easily damaged without proper training and knowledge.

When you replace that radio, these warning sounds are lost, and that's dangerous. Thus, these vehicles require a special harness to keep these audible tones working when you install a new stereo. Fortunately, these harnesses also take care of all of the basic stereo connections.
By . Fuse Box Wiring. Published at Friday, January 05th 2018, 04:33:56 AM. In many cases, it's useful for you to know how to wire a car fuse box, especially when adding new electrical components to your vehicle. There are 2 main fuse box locations in a car, 1 is plate near the steering wheel; the other is placed under the hood. This is where we’re going to work. The types of wiring in general, are endless because of the different makes of cars having unique wiring systems. This article will only cover what should be the basics for every type of fuse box.
By Salomon Herbert. Engine Wiring. Published at Thursday, December 21st 2017, 16:51:59 PM. Cars typically have one intake valve and one outtake valve per cylinder. Most high-performing cars (Jaguars, Maseratis, etc.) have four valves per cylinder (two intake, two outtake). While not considered a “high performance” brand, Honda also uses four valves per cylinder on their vehicles. There are even engines with three valves per cylinder — two inlet valves, one outtake valve. Multi-valve systems allow the car to “breathe” better, which in turn improves engine performance.

Instead of each cylinder getting its own fuel injector, there’s only one fuel injector that goes to a throttle body. The fuel mixes with air in the throttle body and then is dispersed to the cylinders via the intake valves.

If you find yourself with a broken circuit make sure it is professionally repaired to make sure it doesn’t happen again. This may include replacing a single wire or an entire section of your vehicle’s wiring harness. Bad wiring can be difficult to track down and can cause a lot of problems with your vehicle. Make sure to have any electrical problems you have fixed quickly and professionally to avoid future problems and a possible fire hazard.

A device connector is used to connect to a particular item in the electrical system such as ignition coils which are shown in the image below. A safety is used to securely attach the connector to a device which adds an extra layer of protection from accidental disconnection. This safety clip must be removed before the connector can be released.
