By Gabin Placide. Engine Wiring. Published at Sunday, January 07th 2018, 11:58:50 AM. The cylinder head is a piece of metal that sits over the engine’s cylinders. There are small, rounded indentations cast into the cylinder head in order to create room at the top of the chamber for combustion. A head gasket seals the joint between the cylinder head and cylinder block. Intake and outtake valves, spark plugs, and fuel injectors (these parts are explained later) are also mounted to the cylinder head.
By Mathis Camille. Fuse Box Wiring. Published at Sunday, January 07th 2018, 08:32:19 AM. Fuses are simple in design. Inside a fuse is a soft wire with a specific cross-sectional thickness. This dimension dictates how many amps can be carried before the wire melts. Too many amps and the fuse fails, saving the rest of the circuit from damage.

Make sure it is plugged in, free to move and not burnt or melted. Many of the electrical components on your vehicle can be tested without being removed by measuring a resistance value between certain contacts. If you’re handy with an ohm meter and have a repair manual for your vehicle you can test the component that way.

If there is no connector pin, unscrew the fuse box connector screw with a screwdriver. Strip 1/2 inch of sheathing from the wire with a wire crimper tool. Slide the bare wire under the connector and tighten the screw.

Although rare, a few high-powered stereos require you to make a direct constant power connection at the positive terminal of your vehicle's battery. This requires a heavier gauge power wire, an in-line fuse (usually included), and a ring terminal to connect the power wire to the battery clamp. You will have to route the power wire to the battery location, which is often through the vehicle firewall and into the engine compartment in order to make the connection at the battery.
By Hadrien Gratien. Car Electrical Wiring. Published at Saturday, January 06th 2018, 22:33:03 PM. There are two types of electricity, alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC). When batteries discharge they emit a constant DC power in one direction, supplying electricity through the positive terminal to the negative. Most automotive components require this DC charge to work properly, but it is limited because batteries will eventually discharge completely, with no remaining power to give.
