The crankcase is located beneath the cylinder block. The crankcase protects the crankshaft and connecting rods from outside objects. The area at the bottom of a crankcase is called the oil pan and that’s where your engine’s oil is stored. Inside the oil pan, you’ll find an oil pump that pumps oil through a filter, and then that oil is squirted on to the crankshaft, connecting rod bearings, and cylinder walls to provide lubrication to the movement of the piston stroke. The oil eventually drips back down into the oil pan, only to begin the process again

If you find yourself with a broken circuit make sure it is professionally repaired to make sure it doesn’t happen again. This may include replacing a single wire or an entire section of your vehicle’s wiring harness. Bad wiring can be difficult to track down and can cause a lot of problems with your vehicle. Make sure to have any electrical problems you have fixed quickly and professionally to avoid future problems and a possible fire hazard.

While OEM and aftermarket wiring manufacturers alike combine multiple devices on single circuits, they take various things like current draw, wire gauge, and fuse capacity into consideration. For example, adding accessories to an existing circuit may require a greater-capacity fuse, which may cause problems if that fuse’s capacity exceeds the capacity of any single wire in that circuit. Should a wire find ground or its accessory fail in such a case, the wire may catch fire without ever blowing its circuit’s fuse.

With the little map in the cover and the diagram of the owner's manual, you will have a clear guide on where to plug the wires. To help you out, most wires are color coded, thus giving you more information in how to locate each wire and follow the lead. If the wires are not colored, you must do it the old fashion way. Here is where the tester comes in handy. You will have to test every fuse and wire to make sure of the right numbers, thus giving you the correct lead.

The solution is a set of diodes that serve as a kind of electrical check valve for current coming out of the alternator. Diodes only allow current to flow in one direction, so when AC goes in on one side, only DC comes out on the other.
By Jeannot Ludovic. Car Electrical Wiring. Published at Wednesday, November 08th 2017, 23:38:11 PM. The most common problems with electrical systems are a short or open circuit. A short circuit is what happens when a wire has rubbed through to ground causing a fuse to blow. An open circuit is what happens when a connection stops working because of a broken wire or a bad conductivity. Low battery voltage can cause strange problems to the electrical components of the car due to insufficient operating voltage. Because of the construction of wiring connectors they can sometimes create high resistance which causes heat making the connector have an open circuit. When performing wiring repairs a wiring schematic is sometimes necessary to trace wires or locate a component.
